Kelly Vaughn has released a new album entitled ‘Angels and Outlaws’. The album has 7 compelling American rock tracks.
Kicking off this album is the track ‘You’re Gonna Make It’. This is a real, raw American track, with a compelling riff that drives this track, steady drum pattern, and crisp vocals. The lyrics offer themes of hopes and resilience. I really love this track.
‘Get To Texas’ is another outstanding track off this project. It has a bright and catchy country-inspired tune, sure to draw anyone in. The vocals on this track are immaculate, painting a vivid picture for the listener to fully embrace.
‘Back to the Cross’ is rich in meaning and spirit. The guitar riff in this track is somewhat emotional, really really appeals too me personally as a listener. The drums sustain the beautiful tempo of this composition. The vocals are at the center of this track. They reach out and speak to the listener.
‘My Town’ has a very different flavor, with an edgy rock tune, subtle drums, and warm vocals. The lyricism builds community spirit, through the use of inclusive phrases, sure to reach any listener. I especially enjoyed this track. The final track ‘King of Shuckin’ and Jivin’ - is a beautiful conclusion to this project. The down to earth vocals are executed brilliantly, concluding this project the way it should be.
This is a highly recommended album and I am looking forward to future projects by Kelly Vaughn.
