February 27, 2019

Roobens Steve “Rooby Man” Dieujuste is a Dancehall/Pop artist from the island of Haiti known for his energetic, innovative, expressive and rousing qualities. He has captivated the Chicago music scene making a name for himself with credits from major publications such as Rolling Out Magazine, Chicago Defenders newspaper as well as interviews on newspapers such as ABC 7’s – The Greatness In You with Will Horton VH1’s – The Hungriest Rapper in Chicago, along with national newspaper, television and radio features throughout the Caribbean and beyond.

Rooby Man developed his love for music at a younger age and joined the Haitian boy band King of Kings. King of Kings moved crowds and rocked stages across Haiti, eventually acquiring the title of Best New Hip-Hop/ Reggae Group as well as Most Popular Artist in the youth category at national Carnival. King of Kings later disbanded and Rooby Man moved to Chicago, USA where he immediately joined another group called Sakad, (later re-named D-Lux). As the lead singer of this Kompa band, Rooby Man brought a new style to the area, through a unique blend of

Hip-hop and Dancehall, genres he truly loved. They gained a large following but Rooby Man still had hopes of pursuing a solo career, which became a reality a few years later.

As a solo artist Rooby Man, spends most of his time either performing live or in the studio writing, co-producing and recording music. He performed many of these, including his hit single “Showtime” and "She Bought it for Me" at venues throughout the Chicagoland area. He has performed at the Annual Chicago Music Awards. Another highlight of Rooby Man’s career to-date was completing his 2011 European tour, captivating crowds at La Doumergue Stadium in Paris, France, several other cities; then returning to Chicago to open shows for the likes of Bone Crusher, Shawnna, Bobby V, Trina, and Miguel, before embarking on another tour, this one taking him to sold out crowds in South America. Rooby Man was invited to perform at the first Annual Gala Hippocratic Cancer Foundation. The wings to cure in 2016. The Gala has raised almost a million dollar. It was a good highlight for his career
