Interview With GOLDILOCKS

1) When did you realise that you had a passion for music? I have always been drawn to music since childhood. I have been playing various musical instruments my whole life since I was about 8 years old, but around the time I turned 18 I started to dabble in producing music and making hiphop songs to release to the public. 2) Who are your main inspirations as an artist? I'm inspired by many people across the spectrum, from Benny Goodman, to Regina Spektor, to Kanye West, to Bad Bunny, and I feel that I find new inspirations every day, but my favorite kinds of artists are those who are involved in the songmaking process from production to the lyrics to performance. I believe the music hits deeper when the artist composed all or most of it. 3) What would you like to achieve as an artist? I would like to achieve a global audience through my music. I believe that, especially in this day & age, more and more people are being born into bilingual lifestyles & cultural diffusion is happening faster than ever through music and the internet, so I'm excited to keep drawing influence from the world around me, from my culture, and use those to create financial stability for those I love and musical stability for those who need me. I just wanna keep putting out good music that everyone can enjoy! 4) What is your most memorable moment while being an artist? This is a good question, though the answer is always changing haha. I think, as of right now, the most memorable moment that comes to mind is when I performed at Arlene's Grocery in NYC this past winter and a woman liked my song so much she convinced everyone to yell "encore" until I performed it again, and then she came up on stage and sang my song with me! haha wherever she is, I hope she's doing well. I will never forget that moment. 5) what is the biggest artist you’ve worked with? I treat everyone I work with like they're superstars, so I think they're all the biggest artist I've worked with. Let's say your magazine is the biggest haha. Shouts to you guys!

6) tell us a little more about your recent project? I just dropped my most recent single, Stalking Me, on all major platforms! But I release new music every.. single.. month.. sometimes 2 or 3 times a month. I'm currently staying away from albums and EPs because I think people pay more attention when you consistently drop music VS when you give them a big body of work to digest. I also just went solo in September, so I'm focused on giving my loyal fans alllll the music I couldn't give them when I was tied to a collective. I have a lot of catch-up to do with my people. 7) What should we be looking forward to from you in the future? Lots of music! And collaborations! I love to work with people & learn so, if you're reading this & you're an artist & you wanna collaborate with me, hit my line! I'm 100% down to work if the content is good! That's what it's all about for me. I try not to be precious about the work & just be objective and put out hot records that people love! And I make it all from scratch, so you can definitely expect me to beef up my production skills in the next year. Issa goal. 8) is there anything else you would like to tell our readers? Yes! You can do anything (realistic) that you set your mind to. And, if you get inspired to do something unrealistic, make sure you've got a dependable team and a damn good plan haha. Mi gente, os adoro. Thank you for tuning in, shouts out to Noah Penza, and go find me online! Everywhere! YESIAMGOLDILOCKS
