The grunge band Book Of Shame are working on a new killer album.
We were fortunate enough to hear four tracks before the release of the album. We don't have an official date for the release, but we will notify you as soon as we know on our twitter.
The first song we heard, 'Compatibility' has a down-tempo intro and is somewhat experimental in the way it is composed. The balance between the instrumental of drums, guitar and bass with the vocals. The track then gains momentum. The drums become more rapid and the guitar becomes more intense as the vocals adapt to the different nature of the composition.
"Damned' truly experiments with the vocals. The instrumental is unlike anything I've ever heard before, but it works, and I like it a lot. This is a track I've liked from the very intro. The drum pattern engages the listener and creates a fun rhythm.
The third track we were sent, 'Killing Pickle' has an exciting beginning. It cuts right into the track and sustains the energy through the use of the electric guitar, intense yet steady drumming and experimental vocals that target themes skilfully.
'Hope and Glory' is by far the favourite. With a duration exceeding 6 minutes and the use of synths for a melody, this track has it all and has me at the edge of my seat for the entirety of the composition.
I am excited for the release of this album and will continue to update you on this band. We are excited for future projects and what this band has to offer the industry.
