Interview With Joel Christian

We interviewed singer-songwriter Joel Christian. Joel Christian is unlike any male pop artist. Raised in Orange County and based in Los Angeles - He has created his own dark fantasy that he lives in through his artistry. His genre of music is a mixture of dark pop with an electronica sound. He recently released his newest single, Gemini on Spotify this last month. The song has already gotten over 30k plays, streamed in 40 countries, and being added on multiple playlists.

1) When did you realize that you had a passion for music? I've always had a passion for creating music. I've always been obsessed with pop culture and creating visuals to an audio. When I was in my early 20's, I wrote an EP album and I would perform through out nightclubs all of my songs. I've always loved performing and putting on a show! 2) Who are your main inspirations as an artist? My inspirations as an artist would probably be David Bowie, Boy George, Cher, Lady Gaga, Kim Petras, and anyone who focuses on their visuals and creates a form of character through their music. 3) What would you like to achieve as an artist? I would love to achieve to inspire others to chase their dreams and be whoever they want to be! 4) What is your most memorable moment while being an artist? I think the fight and the journey is my most memorable so far. I like to look back and see how far I've come after every single song. Each song I write, record voice notes in my phone and then create in the studio. Seeing the final product is what makes this so fun! 6) Tell us a little more about your recent project? My newest single, Gemini is the latest track I've dropped. I wrote this song about a disorientated relationship I was in. I kept falling in love with Gemini's and every single relationship wasn't healthy. It's a dark pop song with electronic sounds to make it feel eery and also addicting - just like the relationship between me and that person. It's currently being streamed in 40 different countries! 7) What should we be looking forward to from you in the future? I am working on so much right now after the success of "Gemini". I am working on a brand new single, music video, and an EP album. It's going to sound and visually be what I want you to see of me as an artist and I'm so excited to share my imagination with everyone! 8) Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers? I'm very thankful and excited for this journey. I've been working really hard on my music and art. It's exciting to see the response and just thank you for continuing to stream and support me!
