$ara Interview

1) When did you realize that you had a passion for music?

I realized it when I was 10 years old, singing a karaoke of a Whitney Houston song. I said to myself "Wow, I wanna do like she did. I wanna write music for people to scream it at karaokes or in their cars, and to inspire people with it too." At the time I was already taking piano classes so I started taking singing in a choir.

2) Who are your main inspirations as an artist?

I lived in different places, and my mom and dad are from different countries, so I've been inspired by lots of different artists and genres of music. The main ones could be George Michael, David Bowie or Bebe (a spaniard singer). But actually I am more and more inspired by more recent artists who speak their minds like Lizzo or Rosalía.

3) What would you like to achieve as an artist?

Never stop making music, and going on tour to places I've always dreamed to go. And also to make people happy and make them feel good through my music.

4) What is your most memorable moment while being an artist?

Probably my first concert, I was so stressed. But once you're on stage you just forget everything. And after that and all the support I got from my friends and family I thought that the stress and the anxiety you feel before is 10000% worth it. There is nothing better than live concerts!

5) Who is the biggest artist you’ve worked with?

For the moment, I am actually working alone on my music. I tried collaborating with a few people, but it didn't work out because we were so different and had a different vision of music. I'm happy doing it at my pace, and taking my time to write, compose and produce.

6) Tell us a little more about your recent project?

I just dropped a single!! Its name is "Honey, No Money" It's available everywhere!! Make a girl happy and check it out :))

7) What should we be looking forward to from you in the future?

Maybe an EP I'm working on right now. I really don't know when I'm going to release it because there's still work to do. And with all the situation we're currently living, and the fact I am still in college, I just have no time to work 100% on my projects. But I really hope you'll hear from me in the future.

8) Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers?

I am a 20 year old musician living in France and I really really hope you'd like what I do, and that it would make you smile or feel good because that's what my music is for. :)
