Today, I wanna talk to you about a very promising artist. I guess you could say he’s an up-and-coming artist, with a memorable, laid-back style and a good-vibes approach to music. That being said, he isn’t an easy artist. His songs are meaningful and the lyrics are smart, which makes me like him even more. I’m talking about American artist Christopher the Grey.

With some obvious old school vibes, and some discreet nods to musical greats like Prince or Public Enemy, sprinkled through his music, Christopher the Grey is the guy you want to be listening to right now. He’s somewhere in the middle, meaning that, as I said, his tuned aren’t overly-easy, but at the same time, they’re not too heavy either. He’s not one of those artists whose approach is so serious it becomes off-putting.

Rather, Christopher the Grey is creating quality music, laid over some sweet vibes. His latest release, “Fall Back and Chill” attests to that. A surprisingly easy, yet at the same time complex track, “Fall Back and Chill” is very much a summer song.

What I like about it is that it follows similar rhythm patterns to his previous release, entitled simply “Butterflies”. Like with that song, Christopher the Grey sets up this easy, laid-back atmosphere with the rhythm and the beat, only to sneak in some pretty clever lyrics. The tune is so well-written that if you’re not careful, these lyrics will slip right past you, and you’ll be none the wiser. You’ll just know you’ve listened to a cool, chill tune.

But “Fall Back and Chill” is so much more than that. It’s a song about your journey through life, it’s a song about being young and dumb and making mistakes. It’s about luck – fate versus what you make of your own life. It’s a deep piece, and a highly ambitious one that sets out to capture a little bit of everything in just three minutes.

And it does, which is why you should go listen to it right now.
