Interview With Baby-R 'You control your destiny. Just believe in it.'

We were fortunate enough to interview artist Baby-R.

When did you realize that you had a passion for music?

I always loved music and felt it gave me this great energy. But when I was about 7, I sang the world's greatest at an assembly for the parents and knew that music is what I wanted to do. But knowing that music takes time and commitment, I needed money ASAP. So I put music on hold for a while until I can boss up and get things straight for me and my kids. Now that I am stable, music is my life and you always reach for what you want.

Who are your main inspirations as an artist?

There are a few but I should say that I like all kinds of music. But my inspirations are Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Usher, Chris Brown, and Prince.

What would you like to achieve as an artist?

My goal is to let the world hear my music, my art. I also look to strive for change. Growing up in Brooklyn, I was not the richest kid. But I want to show our next generation that no matter where you come from and what is going on, you control your destiny. Just believe in it.

If you had one choice, which artist would want to have as a feature on your song?

Michael Jackson but if we are talking about living artists, I would choose Chris Brown.

Tell us a little more about your recent project?

My recent release on Valentine’s Day 2020 is my single called “Tell Me”. Which is available on all platforms to stream. It's my second single I’ve released. The first one is called “Superman”, which is also available on all platforms.

What should we be looking forward to from you in the future?

Right now, I am in the process of finishing my first album. Until then, I am going to keep releasing singles. I have a book that I wrote over 20 songs that just needs to be recorded.

Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers?

Please support me. A lot of people don’t support your local artist until they blow up or get signed. What is not realized is that we put so much work and dedication into our music without all the highly expensive equipment that sometimes aren’t available. Also follow me on all social media and check out my website to get the latest about Baby-R.
