1. So tell us about yourself?

I’m Mia Grace, a 22 year old, singer songwriter from New York/New Jersey that likes anime, matcha and candles. I started singing and writing songs since I stopped spelling my name MiQ.

2. When did you realise that you had a passion for music?

I just remember my whole life revolving around music since I was little. My parents were in the business, my mom a manager, my dad a singer, rapper and producer. My grandparents played instruments. My brothers and I all make music. It was a very big part of my childhood.

3. Tell us about your new music (Song/EP/Mixtape/Album)? And what’s the story behind it?

I've been planning on releasing music for 5 years and have around 4 albums and over 200 songs under my belt but I kept struggling with perfecting that first debut song and branding myself. SInce I was young I just kept changing, it felt like I couldn't keep up with myself. So this single is really special to me, I wrote the whole song one night and was obsessed with it ever since. I have another song I was going to release first but am waiting until the top of the new year because it's super fun and upbeat and it feels strange releasing that type of music during a pandemic you know? So Stuck is a complete vibe for all types of moods and I feel it's a great transition from summer to fall and the new year. The lyrics are versatile and the production is lush and ethereal overall it's just a really feel good and captivating sound.

4. What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it? (genres/sub-genres)?

I would describe it as pop, r&b fusion with some flares of latin and hip hop. I just recently started singing really rhythmically to where it sounds like I'm rapping. Hehehe i'm not a rapper though. You can really hear where I come from as far as my family background.

5. Who are your main inspirations as an artist? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

My dad of course inspires me alot because of the way he was able to blend so many different things in such a great way! I loved that he exposed me to so many different genres and I love his writing style. I also would say my biggest influencers are Aaliyah and Minnie Riperton, in my head I'm always combining their styles even when I pick out my clothes. I would love to collaborate with Frank Ocean, that's definitely a dream of mine!

6. What is your most memorable moment while being an artist?

One night I got really upset, a studio session I was looking forward to got canceled. To deal with that I stayed home, wrote and recorded 3 new songs, they're all on the album, definitely some of my faves. It’s crazy how they all came out different too! Another would definitely be meeting Brandy and singing for her! We did some runs together and she actually took photos with me on her phone and texted them to me, she is so sweet and genuine. Meeting her was insane. She's like an angel!

7. What would you like to achieve as an artist?

I just want to make people feel like they aren’t alone, they belong and they matter. I wanna make people happy! Artists have an amazing power to create communities of like minded people by just sharing their art. That’s insane! I talk to alot of people online who became ‘fans’ of mine and we’re like friends now. And they have friends who became ‘fans’ of mine and now it's like we have our own friend group. Like that's crazy! Shoutout to Ching, Rachel and Judah for being my day ones! Also you know those moments in peoples’ live shows where they have everyone light the room with their phones, that.

8. What can we look forward to from you in the future?

Stuck comes out in September, you can follow my socials and subscribe to my website ( for updates! My album is done, 2021 is gonna be amazing!
