Interview With Yoan Leduc
When did you realise that you had a passion for music?
I started writing songs at the age of 5. I was born in a family where music is really important. Most of my family plays instruments so I think it had a big impact on my creativity as a young boy.
Who are your main inspirations as an artist?
My dad died in a crash car when I was 3. He was starting to learn guitar for a few months before he passed away and I would lie if I say that he didn’t inspired me to achieve my dreams!
What would you like to achieve as an artist?
As an artist, my biggest dream is to be able to make music as a job. Making music is what makes me happy and I can’t wait for people to hear the songs I wrote and those I will write.
What is your most memorable moment while being an artist?
At this moment, my most memorable moment while being an artist is the day when my debut single was released. I spent my life being scared of what people would think about my music. When I finally found the strength to release my first song, people was so nice to me. I’ve been interviewed live on iHeart Radio and lived things I would never been able to live if I would keep being scared. It’s been a month now and I regret nothing at all!
Who is the biggest artist you’ve worked with?
I’m not a « featuring » fan. I mean, I love working with producers, mixing engineers and all of that but working with other artists is hard for me to imagine. I feel like I need to be me and write songs about what I feel and I don’t think it would be the same to work with another artist on a song. Obviously, it is something I need to experience soon when I have the chance.
Tell us a little more about your recent project?
Right now, I’m working on an EP. There will be 6 songs and it’s gonna be released at the end of the year. I just released my song ‘Grenade’, then I will release another one in October and I will tell people more about the project. Stay tuned!
What should we be looking forward to from you in the future?
An EP at the end of the year, probably around December and of course, a lot of songs in the next few months. When I will have the chance, performing live in front of you guys will be the priority.
Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers?
First, I want to say that if you are like I was a couple months ago, if you feel scared of doing what you love to do, you will be sad all of your life. Assume the person you want to be and be proud of it. If you think that you should wait, you will always think that you should wait. Just do it right now and you will improve yourself with the time!
If you don’t know my songs yet, I invite you to go listen to them, it is free and it helps me a lot! You can follow me on: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Spotify. Let’s make it big!
